A page is one address on your site that WP Moo opens on a schedule, the way a visitor would: the home page, the contact page, the checkout. Every check is one request from our servers. Nothing is installed on your site.
What a page check does
When a page counts as offline
Slower and blocked
Pausing
Rules on every page
For your developer
Each check is one GET request to the site's main address plus the page path, with the user agent WPMooBot/1.0 (+https://wp-moo.com/bot). It follows up to 5 redirects and gives up after 15 seconds (5 seconds to connect).
A run fails on no response, an HTTP status of 400 or higher, or any Urgent finding. A failed or blocked run that would change the page's status is checked once more right away from the second location, or after 20 seconds from the first when the second can't be reached; the page only goes Offline or Checker blocked when that second run fails too, and the second run decides which of the two. Recovery and Slower take one run, no confirmation. The site gets the worst status of its enabled pages. A fault on our side says nothing about your site: the page gets no run and keeps its status.
